Spielberg & his DreamWorks SKG bought the film rights to Alice Sebold's The Lovely Bones after years of trying to make it happen. Peter Jackson wrote the script and he'll direct it. I suspect the jostling for the role of Susie Salmon has already begun. Or has it? Quite a dark and brutal role, should be interesting to see how well/not well the subject matter is handled. Especially the looking down from heaven bit, I could see that getting very bad very quickly. Will Sebold's book be butchered? Consider the IMDB watch under way...
